Description
Mr Color GX 5 - Blue, also known as GX5 Susie Blue, delivers exceptional vibrancy and performance for your modeling projects. This premium lacquer-based paint from GSI Creos, under their renowned Mr. Hobby brand, is engineered to provide a superior finish compared to the standard Mr. Color range.
Experience brighter color development and an outstanding foundation screening effect, ensuring excellent hiding power over base colors. The advanced formula creates a stronger, smoother paint film with enhanced opacity and durability. It boasts quick-drying properties and good adhesion, making your painting process more efficient. Notably, this higher-quality paint achieves its performance without the use of toluene.
The GX series features self-leveling properties that help eliminate brush marks, resulting in ultra-smooth surfaces perfect for clear coating or weathering. With a higher pigment density than traditional lacquers, you can achieve rich tones with fewer coats. This paint is suitable for both hand brushing and airbrush applications, offering a professional-grade gloss finish.

This solvent-based acrylic paint can be mixed with existing Mr. Color paints. For optimal results, dilute with Mr. Color Thinner, Mr. Leveling Thinner, or Mr. Rapid Thinner. Mr. Leveling Thinner is particularly recommended for airbrushing to achieve optimal flow and mirror-smooth finishes, and for brush painting to improve flatness and gloss. Suggested dilution ratios are 1 part paint to 0.8-1 part thinner for brush painting (1-2 coats) and 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner for airbrushing (2-3 coats). It is ideal for plastic model kits, miniatures, figure painting, and properly primed resin and metal surfaces.
