Mr Color GX 121 - Clear Rouge

Mr. Color GX 121 Clear Rouge is a premium lacquer-based acrylic paint from GSI Creos, part of their highest quality Mr. Clear Color GX series. This clear rouge shade offers exceptional clarity and transparency, delivering vibrant, long-lasting color with outstanding depth and dimension to your models. It is specifically formulated to provide more vivid colors and a superior finish compared to standard Mr. Color paints.

This paint excels at creating a stunning "Candy Coat" effect, producing a metallic candy gloss that is highly sought after for model cars, robot plastic models, and Gunpla. For the best metallic candy finish, it is recommended to apply Clear Rouge over a silver painted base, such as SM201 Super Fine Silver 2 or Mr. Color C90 Shine Silver.

Mr. Color GX paints are known for their quick drying time and the very hard, durable coating they form after curing. This paint is versatile, suitable for both hand painting and airbrushing applications. It is also toluene-free.

Specifications:

• Paint Type: Lacquer-based acrylic

• Recommended Thinner: Mr. Color Leveling Thinner for a smoother, enhanced finish. Mr. Color Thinner can also be used, though it may result in less glossiness. Mr. Color Rapid Thinner can reduce drying time but is not recommended for gloss colors.
• Brush Painting Thinning Ratio: 1 part paint to 0.8-1.0 parts thinner.
• Airbrushing Thinning Ratio: 1 part paint to 1-2 parts thinner.
• Application Coats: 3 to 5 coats for brush painting, 2 to 3 coats for airbrushing. Apply initial coats thinly, allowing 30-60 minutes to dry, then apply thicker subsequent coats, allowing 1-2 hours to dry.
• Incompatible with: Aqueous Hobby Color, Acrysion, Acrysion Base Colors, Classy 'n Dressy Colors, and Mr. Metal Color.
