Formulated with high-quality solvent-based acrylic, this paint offers vibrant, long-lasting color with excellent coverage and adhesion. It dries to a smoother and harder finish compared to Aqueous Hobby Color, making it a preferred choice for achieving professional results on military tanks, aircraft, car models, robot models, and Gundam kits.
For optimal application, Mr. Color paint requires thinning with Mr. Color Thinner. When airbrushing, a paint-to-thinner ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 is recommended, depending on desired viscosity. For brush painting, 1 to 2 coats are typically sufficient, while airbrushing may require 2 to 3 coats. The semi-gloss finish can be further adjusted by mixing in Mr. Flat Base, with 5-10% converting gloss colors to semi-gloss. Mr. Leveling Thinner can also be used to slow drying and enhance flatness and gloss, while Mr. Rapid Thinner speeds up drying for specific applications.
