Description

Achieve the perfect matte or semi-gloss finish for your models with GSI Creos Aqueous Hobby Color H40 Flat Base. This essential additive transforms the sheen of your existing Aqueous Hobby Colors, allowing for precise control over your project's final look.

Formulated for high safety and user-friendliness, Aqueous Hobby Color paints, including this flat base, are water-based acrylics with a mild solvent and low odor, making them comfortable for any hobbyist to use. Cleanup is simple, as brushes and tools can be washed with water before the paint dries.

The H40 Flat Base is designed to adjust the gloss levels of Aqueous Hobby Color gloss paints. Mix approximately 5% of H40 Flat Base for a semi-gloss finish, or 15% or more to achieve a full matte effect. The exact percentage can be varied to fine-tune the desired level of flatness.

For brush painting, dilution is generally not required, and 1 to 2 coats are recommended for optimal coverage. When using an airbrush, dilute the mixture with 100-150% Mr. Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 or T-111) for smooth application, typically requiring 2 to 3 coats for a beautiful finish.
