Description
Experience a piece of World War II armored history with the Fujimi 1/76 German destroyer tank "Elephant" plastic model kit. This detailed reproduction captures the formidable presence of the Elefant, originally known as the Ferdinand, a heavy tank destroyer that made its combat debut during the Battle of Kursk in 1943.
Developed by Porsche and Alkett, the Elefant was built on a chassis initially designed for the Tiger heavy tank, ultimately seeing around 90 units produced. It was renowned for its powerful 88mm PaK 43 L/71 gun, capable of engaging any Allied or Red Army armored vehicle of its time, and its impressive 200mm thick frontal armor, making it nearly impenetrable at ranges over 500 meters. Later modifications included the addition of a hull-mounted machine gun and a commander's cupola, officially changing its name to Elefant.
This kit features intricate surface detailing to bring your build to life. It is an excellent choice for hobbyists and collectors looking to recreate this iconic German tank destroyer in a smaller scale.
