[KG-11] 1/700 MUTSU FULL HUL Model

The Imperial Japanese Navy Battleship Mutsu, a legendary vessel and one of the iconic "Big Seven" battleships, is meticulously recreated in this 1/700 scale full hull model kit. This kit captures the Mutsu as she appeared from December 1941, at the outset of the war, through to her loss in June 1943, offering modelers a detailed representation of this historical warship.

Experience exceptional detail with a hull molded in a single piece for both port and starboard sides, featuring intricate carvings of the outer hull wiring. The upper deck is also a single, finely carved piece, showcasing delicate wooden deck textures and sharply defined intake pipes. Unique parts are included to accurately reproduce the fairlead and anchor viewing platform, distinguishing this Mutsu model from its sister ship, Nagato. The bridge base, a critical focal point, is a one-piece part crafted with slide mold technology.

Further enhancing realism, the 12.7 cm twin anti-aircraft gun A-type is subdivided into five parts, significantly improving resolution compared to earlier two-part designs. Ship's boats like the 9-meter cutter and 11-meter internal combustion boat feature multi-part construction for easier painting, with the 12-meter internally fired launch offering the option to be depicted without its canvas. Precision molding extends to the ship's boat stands, accurately rendering their uneven shapes and light holes. This kit also features a newly added chrysanthemum crest for the bow and new sidelights, capturing previously omitted details.
