Description

Dive into the world of "The Sky Crawlers" with the BANDAI HOBBY EX Model 38 - Skyly J2, a highly detailed 1:72 scale injection-plastic model kit of the iconic fictional aircraft. This kit brings to life the ultimate propeller aircraft, known for its aggressive design that blends elements from legendary planes like the Corsair, Lightning, FW-190D, F4U, and the Hughes H-1 racer.

Recreate the formidable Skyly J2, famously piloted by "the Teacher" in the animated movie, with exceptional accuracy and enthusiast-friendly features. The model boasts ingenious geared contra-rotating propellers, a hallmark of its advanced design, and includes clear plastic discs to beautifully represent the propellers in a spinning, in-flight configuration. Builders can choose to display the aircraft with either extended or retracted landing gear, adding to its dynamic display options.

Attention to detail extends to the fuselage, featuring positionable turbo exhaust doors and excellent surface engraving throughout. While designed for the home market with instructions primarily in Japanese, the assembly process is straightforward and rewarding for modelers.

Included in the box:

  • Plastic sprue parts for assembly
  • Clear plastic sprue parts
  • Waterslide decal sheet for authentic markings
  • Standing pilot figure of Kusanagi Suito
  • Adapter for use with Bandai's Action Base 2 (stand sold separately)

Specifications:

  • Scale: 1:72
  • Material: Injection-plastic
  • Release Year: 2008

Please note that this is an unassembled model kit, and paint and glue are required for completion.
