Formulated for exceptional user-friendliness, Aqueous Hobby Color features a mild solvent content, making it a comfortable choice for painting at home. The paint boasts excellent leveling qualities, ensuring a smooth and even coating film with superior gloss. Its robust coating film strength and enhanced glossy finish quality were significantly improved with a raw material revision in 2019, alongside faster drying times.

This versatile paint is suitable for both brush painting and airbrush application. For brush painting, it can generally be used straight from the bottle, with 1 to 2 coats recommended for optimal coverage. If the viscosity is too high, a small amount of water or GSI Creos Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner can be added. When airbrushing, dilute the paint with 100 to 150% Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (T-110 or T-111) for best results, applying 2 to 3 thin coats. While dilution with water is possible, using distilled water is recommended over tap water to avoid potential variations in components that could affect the paint.

Cleanup is straightforward; brushes and tools can be washed with water before the paint dries. Once dry, the paint becomes water-resistant, providing a durable finish for your creations. For cleaning dried paint, Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai is recommended. You can also customize the gloss level by adding H-40 Flat Base: mix approximately 5% for a matte finish or 5-10% for a semi-gloss effect.
