AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR - H22 GLOSS GRAY (PRIMARY) delivers a vibrant, glossy gray finish for your models and collectibles. This water-soluble acrylic resin paint from GSI Creos, under their Mr. Hobby brand, offers an excellent luster and a smooth coating film, ensuring a professional look for your projects.
Designed for comfortable and safe use, Aqueous Hobby Color features a revised formula from 2019 that significantly improves performance and safety, utilizing fewer organic solvents and milder components for a gentle odor and easy handling.
Achieve outstanding results whether you're brush painting or airbrushing. For brush application, dilution is generally not needed, but a small amount of water or Aqueous Hobby Color thinner can be added if the paint's viscosity is too high. When using an airbrush, a dilution ratio of approximately 1 part paint to 1 part Aqueous Hobby Color Thinner (or 100-150% thinner) is recommended for optimal flow. Apply 1 to 2 coats with a brush or 2 to 3 thin coats with an airbrush for a beautiful, even finish.
Once dry, this paint becomes water-resistant, providing a durable coating. Before drying, brushes and tools can be easily cleaned with water. For cleaning dried paint, Mr. Tool Cleaner Kai is recommended. The gloss level can be customized by mixing in H40 Flat Base; add about 5% for a matte finish or 5-10% for a semi-gloss effect.
